Important logistics and legal note:

  • All weapons transfers must comply with federal, state, and local law. SWS handles FFL questions and transfers through its FFL process; winners will be required to complete any necessary FFL transfer and background checks before taking possession. Contact info on transfer and FFL inquiries is available from SWS. 
  • This rifle will only be transferred to someone legally able to own a suppressed rifle.
  • The winner must be present for the Day 2 announcement to claim the prize. If the winner cannot complete lawful transfer or is ineligible under applicable law, an alternate will be drawn.

Firearm Prize Fulfillment and Liability Release

The Bergara Integrally Suppressed Rifle by SWS Rifles awarded through the Underground Infrastructure Conference (UIC) 2026 Connected Buyer Program is provided exclusively by Suppressed Weapon Systems, LLC (SWS Rifles). All prize fulfillment, transfer, and ownership responsibilities lie solely with SWS Rifles and will be conducted in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local firearm laws, including transfer through a federally licensed firearms dealer (FFL).

Gulf Energy Information, its affiliates, employees, representatives, and agents (collectively, “GEI”) act only as an intermediary in promoting this prize opportunity. GEI does not manufacture, sell, ship, transfer, or take possession of the firearm at any time and holds no ownership interest, legal right, or liability related to the firearm or its transfer.

By accepting the prize, the winner acknowledges that all legal, background check, and FFL transfer requirements will be managed directly between the prize winner and SWS Rifles (or its designated FFL dealer). The winner further agrees that GEI shall not be held responsible for any issues, delays, denials, or liabilities arising from the firearm transfer, eligibility verification, or use of the firearm.

SWS Rifles assumes full responsibility for compliance with all federal and state firearms regulations governing the sale, transfer, and ownership of the prize firearm. If the selected winner is determined to be ineligible or fails to meet applicable legal requirements, the prize will be forfeited, and no alternative award will be provided by GEI.
